So far so good (knock on wood=).... I think my only complaint is that it is a little bit big but for the bulky size you really can't feel its weight... a lot lighter than my last toshiba ... Windows 8.1 is not as bad as people make it out to be. As with anything else you have to give it time to get used to. I have had no problems with it as of date... The battery life is awesome! I don't have to think about charging up the pc for another 6-7 hrs depending on how much I use it... some days I am using it heavy and other days it is to be on it a few hrs here and there.. depends on what I have going. I chose this brand because my last Toshiba was purchased in 2010 and it was still going strong until the charge pin got bent and it was dropped several times.. ( a lot) but the final dropped knocked it loose. I needed another laptop ASAP... I decided to go with a brand that lasted me 4 yrs already previous =)
Please don't ask me about Specs, BIOS, anything that makes this pc run because I can't give you the ans I am not knowlege in Sorry!... I can only ans questions about my experience as a user and how to navigate my way around the pc =)

I like Toshiba products any way and this laptop performs is great! And it's fast. I took it out of the box added the other software needed for my grandson to use in college. Took it to him at his college and he maneuver through it like a pro saying "Thank you grandma! You're the best. I love it." He's happy and so am I.

I thought this was a good brand laptop but I must have been mistaken. I only turned it on 4 times before the media reader disappeared. I spoke with Toshiba and they said to reset to factory settings and if that didn't work send it back for refund or exchange. Seller was great and the shipping was lighting fast. I bought an HP instead.
