Good for anybody who's traveling a lot and doesn't want a plain old tablet.

This is a good 2 in 1 tablet for just about anybody who doesn't plan on doing much other than schoolwork, or for business. It has a processor that works good enough to use most programs, but I wouldn't recommend it at all for gaming. I wanted one for two reasons: 1). I do photography often and I find that a mouse and keyboard don't work well for higher level editing, and a touch screen helps immensely. And 2). I am writing a book and wanted a portable tablet that I could bring wherever I go. It works very well for that; the battery life lets you use it a long time without having to plug it in, and the keyboard is good enough to write (although not ideal).

The good:
-Long battery life
-Very portable
-Good enough processor for small-time things
-High quality display (although not very bright)

The bad:
-While the speakers are good, they are also placed on the back of the screen which can be annoying sometimes.
-Touch pad is not all that good
-No SDXC or SDHC memory card slot. Only accepts micro SD, which will not fit into cameras. You have to buy a converter if you want to directly edit pictures from a camera.
-Like I said earlier, the screen isn't very bright. It's very difficult to use on sunny days.
-These are manufacturer refurbished models, so they don't actually come with microsoft office free.

The ugly:
-The hard drive space IS NOT 32GB. It is actually closer to 20, and you have to do some serious space management in order to use this as an actual computer. I highly recommend getting the 64GB option which is also on Amazon for a little more money.

Bottom line:
This is a very good option for the on-the-go laptop user.Read more ›

This is a good cross between a small laptop and a tablet.
I upgraded immediately to Windows 10 as this machine comes with Windows 8.1. The upgrade went smoothly and it didn't take particularly long.It operates perfectly with the new system.
the ability to shift back and forth males this avery versatile machine. Most of the hiccups I have experienced have been a function of Windows 10, not the ASUS Transformer.
The only downside is (like my other ASUS tablet) the touch screen has some spots that do not react well to touch and have to be tapped a number of times. Otherwise a great machine and well worth themoney.

I ordered this computer before reading reviews. I got concerned because of complaints about charging, keyboard quality, memory, etc. Spent the next night watching instructional vids online. Come to find out - if you let the computer charge over night rather than starting to set it up right out of the box...it will charge in four hours and the charge will last 10-12 hours. Tried that, it's true. I'm near the end of week one. I like the size, convertability, video conference abilities, and that it's a Windows based tablet rather than Android - it works much better for my needs. Great little machine. Follow the directions, you'll be happy.

Cheap glass screen breaks easily

Cheaply built. A piece of disposible junk. The screen broke after it dropped from bed to wooden floor. I know they used very cheap material, because my very first generation iPad had survived 5 yrs with my daughter's abuse since 5 years old. Very slow.

Watching the video below the product lead me to believe this item was both windows and android. I am happy with it as far as windows goes but the android capability was most of the reason i bought the item. That being said I honestly have no issues with its capabilities as a computer however it is not what i expected further the battery life is very minimal and it requires to be plugged in after only an hour online this is after charging overnight until battery was full. I would not purchase this item again for myself however it would be good for a child or person who only checks emails and uses minimal aspects of the system

Great little product for on the go, completely self sufficient, unlike relying on windows that has itunes to support an ipad
