Good price and good function, but with a caveat

I bought this because I needed something simple, fanless, and reasonably priced to prop up my 15" laptop for a better angle and for better heat dissipation. The CURB works well, but with a noticeable caveat.

Certain laptops with a smooth bottom like the 15 inch MacBook Pro will slip off the CURB easily if it is jostled. A laptop with a rougher bottom won't slip off as easily, but even then that didn't inspire confidence.

The best place to put this would be closest to the screen hinge, provided that the hinge is integrated within the laptop body in the back. Top-hinge laptops may not work as well.

Great product

I was hesitant to purchase this because I thought it might topple over. It doesn't It's mass coupled with the downward pressure of the laptop weight keeps it firmly planted. You do have to find the "sweet" spot on your laptop for it to sit evenly without wobble, but that is very very easy to do. Prior to this I was using a gel wrist rest to prop the laptop up which could also get some wobble if it was off center.

Very good

I bought the blue one, it is beautiful. It works well too and easy to carry around in a laptop bag. However I wish it could be longer and taller. It is shorter than my 12.5" laptop width and about 1 inch high. It will be perfect if they make it longer and 2 inches high. Anyways I like it.

Well designed

A nice simple product that does what it's designed to do with some style.

I use a laptop stand with a built in fan at my desk, but when going to a meeting or traveling the CURB is small and light enough to easily take along and there is a noticeable difference in temperature when using it (and the laptop's fan doesn't come on as often).

The CURB has a soft touch surface and is slightly flexible, so it won't scratch a laptop or desk.

Simple and utilitarian - doesn't get any better than that. I tried using one of those laptop stands originally and hated it - dang thing was alway wobbling and didn't feel very sturdy, so this little strip is a lot better.

Not sure what I was expecting. But it seemed really small. It's about an inch tall and six inches wide.

Adds a little tilt. Solidly built and gets the job done.

TIPS LAPTOP ONTO THE FRONT EDGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE

IT causes the laptop to tip forward onto the front edge of the laptop---the result is your laptop front corner will get scratched ESPECIALLY A MAC!!
