This is a great laptop stand

This is a great laptop stand, and it is very nice that it is adjustable. It has the same design as the Allsop Notebook Stand Redmond Adjustable Curve (30498), which I purchased first until I had to return it due to a manufacturing defect (that a replacement suffered from as well).

The VIVO stand is much the same in design as the Allsop, and I do not see any reason to think its an inferior product. The height and size of them are basically the same.

The platform measures 14.5" wide and 10" deep in the center (~9.5" at the sides as the back edge has a curve). When position parallel to a desk, the platform is exacly 5" high. When tilted all the way forward, the front of the platform is just under 3.5" high and the back is 6" high. It adjusts easily, and I have not had problems getting the two legs positioned the same. The legs stand just over 12" apart, and you could easily store something underneath. You could fit something less tall but wider if it ran across the legs.

Do Not waste your money

The weight of a 15" laptop causes the stand to roll back to a neutral position, without any type of adjustment options to lock it in, I am using paperclips with very little help. I am going to have to buy a new stand making this a complete waste of money.

Solid but has issues

I love the feel of the product and the color. It was solid and I love the many holes for ventilation. It fitted my 15" laptop exactly with no space left over, but it did not fit my fan. I did not like that the rubber placements on the feet, which allowed for the height adjustment, did not stay in place. Because of this, my laptop fell backwards and sometimes side ways. This was absolutely a deal breaker, I could not allow my laptop to fall. Further, the desk does not balance well on the bed. The legs are extremely difficult to fit in the slots. My next problem, because it fitted my laptop exactly, there was not any space for anything else. This cannot fit a laptop larger than 15".

Defective on one side

I was very disappointed with the quality of the product. When I went to put the legs on, one side was much to tight to slide the leg through. I ended up not being able to align one side properly, so one spot does not have a screw. The product still functions, however, and I don't want the hassle of returning it. It was just annoying having to deal with a defective item and waste more time trying to put it together when it really should've only taken a minute or two. It's cool that you can adjust the angle and it seems sturdy if you are able to get all of the screws in.

Good enough!

Stand works as expected. No problems with my 15.6" Acer laptop slipping (and I put it on the highest viewing setting). I docked a star because the large nuts/bolts used to secure the flat plate to the legs is larger that I thought they'd be making it difficult to fit anything under. Also, a full sized keyboard will NOT fit under this stand (I use and would recommend the Sojitek Adjustable Laptop stand http://www.amazon.com/Sojitek-A-BLALARL01-FBA-Adjustable-Vented-Laptop/dp/B002LNVMIS/ for this purpose).

Perfect as a desk stand for my 15in MacBook Pro.

This was exactly what I was looking for to use with my 15in MacBook Pro.
I use it as a desk stand for the laptop, then hook up a remote keyboard and mouse.
This stand puts the laptop screen at a much better ergonomic viewing height.
The stand is very sturdy and does not wobble like other similar stands I have seen.
I like that the stand height is adjustable, a bit.
I have not used this stand as a portable desk to use in a chair or couch, so I cannot comment on using it that way.
