Sound is better than expected. Really good Quality. Fits on my Toshiba laptop without issue. Pros: Great sound, easy install..plug it in and works, Fits snug, easily on my laptop. Volume control works great and is easy to reach. I give it a 10 out of 10 for the price. I would recommend to anyone that wants better sound from their lap[top for music, games or just in general. No hissing or back ground noise. Sound is crisp and clear. Cons: No real bass.... they are not meant for that purpose though.

Static-filled and Poor Volume. Disappointing :(

The VicTec Laptop Speakers were sadly disappointing.

To begin, the sound quality is poor. From the moment I plugged them in to the computer, there is a hissing static. I figured this would go away whenever I began to play audio but this was not the case. Instead, the static just blended in with the audio, making it very difficult to hear the sound of the video I was watching. If you have ever played Silent Hill, you are aware of the infamous radio the main character always uses to detect monsters. You know that static the radio emits when a bad guy is close? These speakers sound a lot like that.

What is the sole purpose of speakers? To amplify the sound. Unfortunately, my laptop does not have the best sound and even Youtube videos sound like a whisper. That is the very reason I bought these VicTec speakers. However, the sound does not increase much at all. I still struggled to hear what the guy in the Youtube video was saying. And, for the Five Nights At Freddy's fans out there, if you have ever watched Markiplier's game play videos, you know just how loud he can get when screaming (lol). Even that was difficult to hear.

Finally, the speakers have a difficult time remaining stably clipped onto the laptop. I considered purchasing the usual speakers that sit next to the computer but decided to spice things up when I found these clip-on ones. Get better audio volume *and* free up desk space? Oh yeah! But the buggers will not stay clipped on. I have to hold the laptop very still and cannot even nudge the desk without have the speakers jump off.Read more ›

Not the amazing value these are made out to be

I was expecting these would be a little nicer sound quality with all the glowing reviews. Don't get me wrong I was not expecting a whole lot given the price but these are a little more tin canish then I expected. My Lenovo T520 speakers built into my laptop are better than these. The clips also don't clip well if you are close to the maximum thickness. It's 3 stars because I can't complain too much given the price but just don't think that these are some amazing value. You are getting what you are paying for here.

I tried to make do.

My laptop unfortunately doesn't get much sound so I bought these hoping for a compact way to solve my problem. Well, the first thing I didn't like was that they are really almost impossible to clip onto your computer and once there they are very wobbly as though any sudden movement will cause one or both of them to fall off. I ended up having to tape them to my laptop. Now lately, whenever I try to turn the volume up really high on them (or all the way to the top) it gets this glitchy clicking noise in the background and it's really annoying. I'm still having issues hearing movies on my laptop because I can't turn these up all the way and it's so frustrating. There are a lot like this that actually do work though, so shop around. Won't be recommending these to anybody.
