After shopping on Amazon for a laptop bag for over an hour, I decided on the Victoriatourist V6003, and I believe I made the right choice!

This V6003 has been thoughtfully designed to ferry a laptop as well as other daily essentials. The main compartment easily accommodates my Chromebook, with a 14-inch screen and a width of .8 inches. There is a Velcro strap to tighten the laptop partition, as it could easily fit a laptop that is twice as thick. The laptop compartment is well padded on the bottom and all four sides. There are also two large pockets in the main compartment, labeled for a charging cable and wireless mouse. The pockets easily fit the power adapter and cord for my Chromebook in one and my various other cables into the other. Since the laptop is held to the back of the bag, the main compartment still has plenty of room for other stuff. Finally, there's a red zippered pouch up top and towards the front of the main compartment that could be used to store a phone, wallet, etc.

The secondary pocket is highly organized, with plenty of thoughtfully arranged pockets and zippers. I have no problem stowing my Kindle Paperwhite, foldable headphones, pens and other stuff in a logical place. A small zippered compartment is perfect for small USB sticks and other easily lost items. The very front pocket has no organization but is large enough to hold small tablets, kindle, etc.

Each side of the bag can hold a water bottle. The back of the backpack has padding on either side, leaving a channel free for air to pass between it and your back. The straps also contain padding and wearing the backpack is quite comfortable. As others have noted, the straps are wide, but they do not bother this average sized male.

The build quality of the bag seems durable, with wider teethed zippers than I am used to seeing and stitching along the pockets that I believe will extend far beyond the bag's one year warranty.

Pros
-Durable Fabric
-Practical Design
-Good Laptop Protection
-Comfortable to Wear
Cons
-Bland design

I’ve always seen backpacks as one of the most underrated supplies for students. We tend to prioritize books, tech, clothes, and supplies as the most important without stopping to choose our backpacks carefully. With a wealth of options, we tend to pick the one that’s the best looking and go for it (I know I did). But there are so many benefits to a practical backpack if you know how to find them. This is one of the best backpacks I’ve used and one of the most useful when it comes to practicality.

-Design-

On one hand, this isn’t one of the best looking backpacks. It leans to a more utilitarian design. That being said, this is one practical backpack. The main pouch has a padded pocket in which a laptop up to 15.6” can fit. My 11” Dell laptop fits perfectly there with a lot of space. There are also 2 smaller pockets for placing an extra battery and a portable mouse. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for stuff like school supplies or other smaller objects. The secondary pouch has some pockets for smaller items as well as space for small notebooks. There is also a front pocket on the front for things. The side water bottle holders feel durable and they fit a water bottle well. The back of the backpack has a padding that is supposed to make it more comfortable to wear. As far as I can tell, it does help with carrying the bag comfortably around and it feels soft. Overall, what it lacks in looks it well makes up for it with practicality.

-Quality-

My initial impression of this bag is that it is a high quality bag.

After receiving this backpack 3 days back I felt like I made a bad deal and probably should have invested in some other The North Face or Patagonia laptop backpacks. So today I went to The North Face and Patagonia outlets and returned with the understanding that at the price of $35.90, this is a five star bag. This bag has all the compartments needed and most importantly it has a elastic band to hold the laptop in place. Though it wouldn't be correct to say that laptops slip out of Patagonia backpacks or The North Face backpacks, yet with the elastic band firmly stuck inside, you have an assurance that the laptop will stay in place even if the backpack falls somewhere.

The review is not to discourage anyone from other laptop backpack manufacturers. I only wish to assure that if you want good return over your investment and if you do not have brand loyalty issues, then this item will serve your purpose and you wouldn't regret buying this bag. I'm stating the price of this bag ($35.90) so that in case the seller outrageously jacks up the price after so many good reviews, (or the other companies outrageously bring down their products' price) you can start looking at other options.

This bag doesn't have the fancy plastic locks which lock shoulder belts on your chest, or the ones that compress the bag along the width, but trust me, the extra 3 pairs of locks are absolutely not worth shelling about two and a half times this bag's price. (2.5 * $36 = $90, which is pretty much the price of Patagonia or The North Face.)

PS - I put my 13 inch mid 2012 MacBook Pro in this backpack.
