A fantastic pack for commuters, students, technicians, travelers, or similar applications

05/30/15: Five weeks of almost daily use later, this pack is still serving me perfectly. No complaints. This pack is worth every penny (and many, many more) so far.

I've been using this pack for about 5 weeks now for my work commute. I'm also planning to use it as my airline carry-on for an international trip in June 2015. So far, I'm 100% satisfied with it. Below are my reasons.

It's sturdily made with high-quality materials, and it looks great. There are some rather silly touches I'll probably be removing, such as a sewn-on cell phone label for a pocket on one of the shoulder straps--the pocket might accept candybar or clamshell phones from circa 2005, but there's no way a modern smartphone would fit in that tiny pocket (and honestly, would you keep one there, anyway?); however, it certainly would accommodate lip balm tubes, a mini flashlight, an energy bar, a packet or two of energy gel, or similarly sized items.

There's a substantial handle on the top of the pack that makes heaving the thing in and out of a car floorboard (for example) much easier. I do have some doubt about the attachment points and their dependability over time, but so far they show no hint of failure.

The pack is very comfortable. riding perfectly on my lower back, just above my hip bones, as it should. (I'm a 5' 7" male -- 5' 8" when I'm feeling superb.) The compression straps work well to reduce bulk. The shoulder strap adjusters have a thumb hole in the plastic tab -- one of many small but thoughtful design features you get with this pack.

I'm a college student and I wanted a backpack that can carry my laptop, ipad and accessories while hold all my books. Finally I found it. This backpack can carry a large amount of stuff an a well-organized, evenly distributed way. It seems really high quality, no stitching is having issues, and the color and design are nice. I am strongly recommending it to all my friends.

Makes travel with a laptop a BREEZE!

Bought this for a business trip; I LOVE it. First is is very good quality, hardware, zippers and overall construction. It protected my Macbook Pro and Ipad nicely and the pack butterflies open allowing the paded laptop pocket to lay flat on the x-ray conveyor. I never had to remove my tablet or laptop nor did I have ANY issues going through security. My boss rushed through the airport with his carry on while I had to check a bag first and he was shocked when I was waiting for him after security...the bag makes it a breeze. The layout is very ergonomic and I am overall impressed for the price.

Edit: For anyone wondering about size, I have a 13" Macbook pro (current Gen) in a speck proctective case as well as an Ipad Air2 with a Logitech Ultrathin Aluminum Keyboard case. I put both in the padded laptop section and had plenty of room to spare. They literally disappeared into the padded compartment. I can't see any 15" laptop or even a 17" Macbook pro having issues fitting in there. Some of the bigger 17" "desktop replacements" and gaming notebooks may be a little too snug.

Also, there are cinch straps on the sides with buckles that easily cinch down the bag when it is not too full (regardless of contents) to keep it compact for moving around as you board a plane or stow it under the seat in front of you.

Finally I did not mention appearence; the bag is a high quality satin sheen heavy duty fabric. My Executive Vice President even commented how much he liked the fact that it was not loud or overdone. Said he would carry something like that but I still dig it day to day in casual clothes.

This is by far the highest quality made backpack I have ever purchased, not to mention it fits EVERYTHING in my graphic design business toolbox. My Macbook Pro, Intuos Pro pen tablet, extra 15" Asus portable monitor, iPad w/case, portable monitor stand, and all cords and accessories fit into this backpack with room to spare for my Nikon D3700 and an extra lens! Perfect for when I want to work away from the home office or need to visit a client or do a photo shoot on site. On looks, the back is sleek and modern, with a cool carbon fiber stitched pattern all over. It's very solid and a little weighty fully loaded, but that's due to the ton of extra padding strategically placed all over and inside the bag, and all the crap I'm putting in it. The weight of the backpack is an afterthought not worth changing my 5 star rating since all that padding gives my equipment the protection it needs. It's even padded on the outside part that rests on your back, giving the bag extra support and comfort when carrying it.

Calling it just a "laptop bag" is almost an insult to this bag's superior construction quality and insightful engineering, but this is the absolute best laptop bag any graphic designer or any traveling professional that relies on their portable workstations could ask for. And for $40, it's a fantastic deal. I've spent far more on far lower quality bags. To be fair, I've only had the bag a few days, so I can't speak to it's durability, but again the construction is really solid. Oh, and the spot for your phone inside the bag strategically placed with a headphones hole right above it so you can listen to your tunes while walking around - that's just a nice touch. Along with all the pockets, detachable key rings and hook loops all over the bag, they really thought of everything on this bag. It's like it was made for my digital work life.
