Exterior organization includes a flapover main compartment with buckle closures, a vertical-zip, gusseted front pocket, two hidden front pockets and webbing loops. Expands .5 inch for extra capacity on demand. Adjustable, padded shoulder straps, a padded back panel and a haul handle for easy carrying. A webbing loop on the shoulder strap conveniently holds a pair of sunglasses.

    my lap top never felt so light

    I have a clunky macbook pro that has always been a pain for me to carry in a regular laptop case/ side bag. I'm a small lady and needed to find a good solution for carrying this to meetings and through airports for business. This is a great solution. The bag itself is lightweight, so it doesn't add to the burden, but it's nicely padded, slim and sleek and has tons of other pockets in front for storage (cables and other essentials, but also great for your phone, make-up bag, wallet, etc. I'm enjoying being hands free and with better posture.

    Can't say how it stacks up against the other bags, but it fits my 15" laptop snuggly and I wouldn't try to put anything larger in it. I'm satisfied.

    Really nice low profile backpack with surprising amount of room.

    I purchased because I really liked how low profile it was. It is indeed one of the lowest profile usable backpacks I have seen.
    Some of the nice surprises and great features include:
    The flap over feature really seems capable of keeping the rain out.
    Surprise spots for two water bottles hidden under the flap (not on the flap itself, but the main part)
    The surprise outer pocket with lots of room.
    The zipper for extending the size of the main compartment.
    The very room laptop space. This can hold way more laptop than I have but still feels secure with my XPS 13 in it.
    Very durable but reasonably light considering.
    Comfortable shoulder straps and pads
    Nice muted blue color. Looks fashionable and manly without being to wild. I could see a woman pulling this color off as well though.
    Very durable and comfortable handle at the top for moving it around quickly when not on your back.
    Overall construction seems very good, but will report more when I have put it through it's paces.

    Note: This is a slimmer backpack. You are not going to fit in here what you would get in an Oakley Kitchen Sink or Swiss Gear extra large backpack. You WILL get your laptop, power supply, and a mouse in it with room left over for things like a folder with documents, pens, maybe a camera, a phone, a water bottle. Maybe even some rolled up shorts and a tshirt? It's conceivable. Nice on the go backpack suitable for a tablet or a laptop.

    This backpack is just perfect! When I bought it my first thought was... will it hold all the stuff I need? As I'm changing my laptop to one ultrabook and since I only have one binder for all my purposes, yes, all of my stuff will fit just right (even with my actual laptop - Gateway). I read some of the reviews of this backpack and they couldn't be more assertive about what they say, this backpack is surely for your day-to-day carry on.

    The materials used on this backpack seems to be so durable as my other Victorinox backpack (Victorinox Luggage Altmont 3.0 Vertical-Zip Laptop Backpack which I have it for more than three years, it seems to be like new).

    On the pictures it doesn't show exactly how the expandable zipper works, it gives you a good extra space for your stuff as it opens to main bag and not to the laptop space (which that was my doubt). One more thing for the ones looking forward to buy this backpack and that they don't mention, or at least I didn't read about it, it has extra hided bags beside the vertical one, and I think it is for the bottle of water because it can fit perfectly.

    I bought this bag in a panic when I injured my back just before a business trip requiring me to carry my laptop and ipad. It is. perfect! First, it is so nice looking and professional compared to many laptop backpacks and the navy blue is a great looking color that makes it a little less masculine than most business bags. But most importantly, it is very comfortable and light. The back is quilted and cushioned. I was worried about having enough room for all my stuff but it's quite roomy for being so flat. The laptop compartment is in the back. My 15" laptop fits with room to spare. Then the main pocket fits my ipad and paperwork and a very small purse. The zipper compartment on the front fit my chargers, Advil and an ice pack. Then there are two vertical pockets under the flap on the outside. I needed to take extra shoes to my conference each day and they fit perfectly. Water bottles can go here, too. I've searched for the perfect laptop backpack for a long time and have finally found it!

    After a bad experience with my leather satchel (Kenneth Cole, steer clear), I decided it was time to make the switch to a lightweight laptop backpack, despite preferring the satchel look. I routinely carry a MacBook Air (+ cable), another small 12" laptop (occasionally with cable + mouse), papers, passport, notebook, and more. This thing handles it all without question, yet when unloaded remains nice and flat. Even with two laptops, I haven't had to unzip the expansion (much like on expanding luggage), and I've heard reports of people taking tennis shoes or water bottles in the outside pockets just under the flap. I'd believe it. Overall, very pleased with the look and build quality of the bag, and certainly the utility. It may not be as convenient to get into/out of on the fly like a satchel, but I also don't have to worry about it self destructing or breaking a strap.
