Won't stick, breaks easily

Very fragile product, only 1 glue strip was good, the other wouldn't stick at all. On top of that it broke while trying to attach it. Cost $5.95 and was a waste of money, back to using a post it note.

Broke

Great idea, but poor product quality

I purchased some of these directly from the manufacturer. They came in an envelope with sticky tape already applied appropriately. I took the wax paper off and put the webcam covers on as directed.

Everything was great for a couple of days, but within 2 weeks all of the devices had broken. The open portion of the plastic slide is very fragile; in all cases, that plastic piece broke off, leaving only the opaque cover intact.

The manufacturer advertises that they can print a logo on them so that they can be used as trade show giveaways, etc. The build quality seems more appropriate for something that will be given away than for something that an end-user is expected to pay $5 for.

Works on most - needs improvement

I bought this for myself and also as a gift. It worked on my laptop, but did not on the recipient's laptop b/c there was a small rubber bumper above the webcam that protruded slightly. Webcam surface and surroundings must be flat in order to work. Plastic is thin and could be easily broken with an accidental move of small force. Tape is also not as adhesive as it could be, fell off a few times during first few weeks of use.

It's very awesome idea and design, but it's very fragile. So if you are getting it, make sure you are taping it and moving it very carefully.

Did not work with my Lenovo T30

T30 has slightly curved edges and hence this cover did not fit. Will fit only on laptops which have flat edges.

Screwed up my trackpad

This does the job, however, it screwed up my Macbook Air's trackpad. Because of this thing's thickness, when the Air's lid is closed, this thing presses a bit against the trackpad. Over time, my Air thought the trackpad button was constantly being pressed, and so whenever I moved my mouse it would annoyingly highlight text or drag things around. No good!

Fortunately I was able to fix this by literally bending (slightly) my Air. The button "popped" back out.

Secure laptop webcam cover - good things in small packages!

This is a great webcam cover! It's small, doesn't interfere at all with my laptop opening and closing, and yet I now feel secure knowing I can't be hacked! It's a scary feeling wondering if someone could be watching me when I'm online - but I know if the c-slide is closed, there's no way someone could be secretly watching me through my webcam.

I'd totally recommend it to people wanting to feel more secure with laptops using built-in webcams. It's such a nice change from hooking up my old, separate webcam every time I need to use video; but seeing reports on how easy it is to be hacked through your laptop.

It's surprisingly tiny, but that's good, as it won't be in your way! It comes with two little adhesive strips to adhere to your laptop lid - you may want to use tweezers (or fingernails if you have them) but once it's on, I haven't had any problems with mine- seems to stay in place, and it's easy to simply slide open and closed as you need it.

I love it, would totally recommend!!
