Very reliable, sturdy, and worthwhile tech tool to have at your disposal. Working at an IT company, and having been in a situation where customers drop off different types of laptops, can be a real pain when they "forget" to bring their charger. Recharging and powering (computer) equipment while driving is a common task and this device wraps several of these functions into one unit. A bit bigger than other AC-adapters but in return it also accepts 12V DC input (car outlet). And to set it further apart from adapters, it FORTUNATELY lacks an annoying fan :-)

Things I would want to improve :
- have 2 USB outlets, each provide 2.1A or more (fast-charging)
- IMO it is possible to shrink this in size, especially when you switch to a 2-pin AC-connector
- the US version uses an uncommon 3-pin connector ==> when I travel, I cannot share the same 2-pin AC-cable for this adapter and other power supplies.
- a variety of DC-plugs are included -- these adapters use a different connector than Li-Ion packs and therefore I need to carry 2 sets of incompatible adapters with me
- the 12V DC-cable is short -- too short to reach the pockets in the passenger door or behind the front seats. Long enough to squeeze the adapter below the seat or tuck it inside the glove box.
- To make it a truly globally usable device, you need to add different 3-pin AC-adapters to match the local AC-outlets. A 2-pin power-cable would have simplified that task.

In addition to recharging my laptops, this power-supply also can refill a "PowerTank" battery pack. It would have been great, if both would use the same type of connector. This AC-adapter picked a rather unusual interface no other power-supply uses :-((

SUMMARY
It is SILENT -- that's a great bonus over some AC-inverters.
It gets the job done -- 90W for the charging is okay, add 2nd USB to make it better.
I can take this from the car to a motel and continue to power/recharge devices there.

I've been using this Universal Laptop AC Adapter for several months now, and I must say I am impressed with the engineering that went into this. I've used others in the past, but this one is much better. The only complaint I have is that the blue LED to let you know it is plugged in was WAY too bright, especially in a dark room. A piece of black electrical tape remedied that situation fairly easily.

This works with both my wife's laptop and mine, and, as we travel a lot, the DC plug adapter is a dream for us. It's easy to switch tips, which we often do as her Acer laptop needs one type and my Lenovo laptop needs another, so we carry both in the bag.

The block is rather large and heavy compared to most, but as we have the convenience of DC plug adapter AND AC adapter, it's worth it every bit. Now, instead of having to carry DC adapter plus AC adapter for each laptop while on the road, we can just carry this one unit, because while one is charging the other can be used from battery. It's rare we have to charge both at once. Besides, one of us will be driving anyway. ;)

Great product. Worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone needing one, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

All Aspects Impressive

The build quality is impressive -- especially for the price. The AC cord is heavy duty - plugs on both ends well made. The 12V cord has exceptionally well made plugs on both ends; I would like to find this cigarette-plug end to replace the plugs on devices I currently own.

This charger does not get nearly as warm as the Lenovo charger that came with my laptop. It charges equally fast on 115VAC or 12 VDC.

The only negative I can see is that the plug adapters which actually plug into your laptop are proprietary. I have not found any way to purchase replacements.

I like that better b/c it does all the things this Westronix does bit is a little smaller and came with a carrying case. It didn't have a tip that fits my new Lenovo laptop.... that is why I purchased this other adapter.
