I just received this bag today. I've loaded it and unloaded it, carried it around on some errands, and played with all the organization options. I absolutely love this bag. I've tried many laptop backpacks and I've found them all lacking in some way. I thought I'd found a perfect bag in the Timbuk2 Q, but the shoulder straps were set too narrow to be comfortable (I'm fairly small and very short, with narrow shoulders, so I'm surprised anyone finds the Q's shoulder straps to be comfy). Other than the lack of a bottle holder and the front panel pocket only opening halfway, I really, really liked the Q. So, I searched and searched for something similar and found the eBags TLS Professional Slim Laptop Backpack. At $100 and no available discounts, it was quite a bit more expensive than the Q. That, along with the lack of reviews almost deterred me from purchasing this bag, but I figured with Amazon's and eBags excellent return policy, I'd give it a go....and I'm soooo glad I did! My new favorite go-to bag

I am a road warrior and travel 30 weeks or so a year. I am constantly looking for the right bags to take with me. This bag is my new favorite. For full disclosure, I have owned this bag only a couple of weeks and gave it its first real trial this past week. 4 planes, 3 cities and 3 hotels.

It holds a surprisingly large amount of stuff. The bag I used prior to this was the ClaireChase Executive Briefcase X-wide which was also very good. The ClaireChase was just BIG. I could carry everything but it was like I had a couch with me where ever I went.

So, I tried the eBags TLS Pro Slim. Got it in the gray (very professional looking). Started moving stuff from the ClaireChase and worried what I was going to have to leave behind.

Short answer - nothing. I fit EVERYTHING into this bag that is 2/3 the dimensions. It is just that well organized with intelligent slots, pockets and zippered closures. I LOVE the adapter garage that allows me to FINALLY organize my cables and such. Why has no one else thought of this? Finally, a bag that I can LOCK in case I need to. Again, why has no one else thought that important?

Okay, in the bag goes:

Work Laptop (MacBook Pro)
Personal Laptop (MacBook Air)
Tablet (Galaxy Tab S 8.4) - which now has it's own VERY accessible pocket.
Pens, and notebooks (I usually carry two or three notebooks with me for customer notes)
extra batteries and power battery for various devices
all the rest of the stuff you carry - business cards, mints, hand sanitizer, etc
Power cables for everything in the adapter garage
Sunglasses in case.
Etc.

Oh, and the Napoleon pocket in front. I don't know why so many briefcase manufacturers forget this pocket but ebags didn't.Read more ›

Awesome

I travel every week to a different state. I basically live in the airport. I need convenient products in my life. This bag is worth every penny. It has all the little compartments that you need when traveling with a lap top, mouse, IPad and books. There is a different compartment for every electronic piece. I use to carry around a regular book bag that eventually worn out.
I have had this backpack for 6 months and I will continue to buy this bag in the future if needed.

Best Bag Ever!

I have a lot of bags! From Tumi on down. And this is the best. The bottom compartment is the difference. Because I travel a lot and a CPAP (sleep apnea) machine is the only thing I still have to remove in the TSA Pre-Check line, this little protected pocket is ideal so I'm not fishing around and having to repack. (Note, I have a travel CPAP so is smaller then a normal unit). Because this is tall and slim it fits under the seat perfect with room for your feet on each side. This is one of the most well thought out bags I've ever used. I love my TUMI....But this bag is a true winner!

Good for the Right Audience

I have been using a laptop backpack from Case Logic for the past six years. However, I recently purchased a 15.6-inch laptop. Getting it to fit was like trying to fit into a shoe that was two sizes too small. Throw in the power brick, a computer mouse, and whatever else I need whenever I am out and about and I had a camel hump that was a pain to take on public transportation and did not leave me feeling particular confident about the protection of my equipment.

Nevertheless, the bag was still in fantastic condition and technically usable. As such, when Amazon suggested this product to me, I was more torn than most people on whether it would be a worthwhile purchase – especially considering the rather steep price. Although I have used it for only a week now, I have to say that I feel like it was an excellent investment.

PROS
- Excellent build quality
- Thoughtful design
- Sleek appearance

The first thing I noticed when I saw the backpack was how sturdy it looked. Unlike most backpacks, this one will stand up on its own rather than slump over when placed on the ground. This is due to the hard plastic case at the bottom of the bag – accessible from its front – where one can store a laptop’s power brick separately from everything else. The zipper quality was similarly impressive. When doing and undoing the zipper, it has a solid, deep sound that one can be assured will never tear or open accidentally as you walk down the street. The material feels robust and resistant to tears or scuffs. The backpack also has a Teflon coat, which makes it fine for brief walks through light rain.

As I opened the various compartments, I also appreciated the bag’s design.Read more ›
