Followed instructions perfectly by fully charging and discharging battery through a couple of cycles. Battery still, at most, only stays charged for an hour. NOT HAPPY.

Added: After using this for a couple of weeks, this battery is no better than the dead battery I replaced with this one. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT BUY!

Seemed to work well when I first got it. However, now (three months later) I'm noticing that even though the battery life is still ok, the power meter on my screen doesn't correspond to the amount of battery left, and I don't get any warning when the battery is getting low. The battery will die, shutting the computer down, when the power meter still says there's 40% (90 minutes or so) remaining. So that is very frustrating, and has resulted in me losing some work when the autobackup hadn't been done recently.

I bought this battery to fit g4-1117dx. The fit is perfect. The battery seems almost as good as the original (the almost is why 4 stars). The charge seems to last a little less than the charge from the original battery but considering the price versus an HP official battery, this situation is quite acceptable.

HIghly recommended if you want a fairly inexpensive battery replacement!

Very pleased with the battery so far, it locks in securely and has almost near stock battery life which isn't bad for a non OEM battery. With 100% charge on my G4-1117dx laptop I get about 4-5 hours with just web browsing. This is a huge improvement over my stock battery which died over the years reducing to only about 1 hour of basic-moderate usage. The price isn't bad either.
