Cheap, flimsy, and doesn't even fit; don't waste your money

I should have listened to the other low reviews- this really is a pathetically cheap cover worth nowhere near the $20 I spent on it. There is very little texture to the case- I had hoped for something that would reduces how slippery it is, but it's just a rough, cheap plastic- and very thin and flimsy. It doesn't even fit my computer perfectly- on the back, where it should attach at the base of the screen, it barely doesn't reach far enough, so it just bows out awkwardly and the two bits of plastic that should clip in at the hinge just end up making the entire case sit about 2 mm off the computer surface. I wish there was another option for a case for this computer, but I haven't been able to find one. I'll keep looking.

Transform your plain laptop

The cover snaps on easily and stays securely in place. Textured bottom piece keeps it from sliding on smooth surfaces. Since the laptop is a 2 in 1 it is designed to fold over flat to simulate a tablet. The case doesn't allow the laptop to fold back completely flat like it does when the case is not installed. This is minor but we take the top cove off regularly. The case adds a nice personalization touch. The blue cover closed the deal with my daughter who wanted a blue Chomebook but Dad wanted a laptop Also great to protect from scratches

Great item for protection from scratches and nice color

After buying my little Dell notebook, I became concerned about the possibility of scratches, especially on the bottom of the computer. Though I love this little computer and the design, the finish leaves something to be desired, frankly.

After seeing some people around with cases like this on their computers, I realized that this was possible. After looking around, I found this brand and design and thought it was perfect. After receiving this item, I am convinced it is worth the cost with a few caveats.

First, I ordered the aqua color, which appealed to me most of those available. It is a nice almost Carribean Sea color and is quite nice. The design of the covers, which include one for the top and the bottom are neat. They are pretty translucent, so you can see the Dell logo on top and everything on the bottom. The fit is about perfect. These use simple tabs to fit here, there and everywhere around the computer. The fit is very accurate in that both pieces fiit very well. I haven't found an issue where the covers will fall off or anythng remotely similar. The fit is snug with a hair of movement on the bottom piece.

For preventing scratches, this item is fantastic and is what the doctor ordered. This is NOT a cover to protect against a fall onto the floor. In other words, you could still damage the inner part of the computer with this case. But, having the cover will prevent scratches which happen with normal wear and tear.

Overall, this is a really great item and well worth the purchase to protect the computer. The color choices, although I love my aqua, are really great and certainly add a bit of spice to a rather plain silver palate. Since these covers are easily removable, I suppose if the situation called for it you could remove them for a meeting r whatever, but the cool color makes this a nice add-on. To my mind, this is a necessary purchase for protection.

Cover is nice, but its a bit on the thin flimsy side. I would certainly not consider it a hard shell like you would expect. I love the fact it is clear, so I can still see my decal stickers on my laptop. Over all nice, but if you want something more sturdy, I would not recommend this one. It clicks in place, but if dropped it falls off too easily.

The reviews I read about this had me buying it without question. It is very attractive and looks just as the photo does HOWEVER... the case snaps on easily which means it also snaps OFF easily. The biggest issue I have with the case is that when you want to use the Dell 2 in 1 as a tablet you cannot fold it completely flat. The case gets in the way and you have to remove at least one side of it. It's not very well thought out for that reason.
