This case is alright. I have 4 kids with identical laptops so I bought these cases to help differentiate whose was whose just by looking at them. In that case they work fine. They also help keep fingerprints and smudges off of the exterior of your laptop. Other than that I don't know what other purpose it would serve. They snap on and sometimes come off at random. The top is more secure than the bottom. Just FYI, I bought this for our new dell touch screen inspirons and they fit even though they were not listed in the description.

I haven't dropped it Thank Goodness but it does give it a pretty color and I can see how it would support the edges of the computer where they like to hit when they fall. I keep mine all the time and I like it I do believe it would help keep your computer safer if you drop it. It covers the edges well. I also bought a good screen protector with a matte finish that would strengthen the monitor also and I like that also. So I figure if anything an ounce of prevent is better than saying I wish I would have afterwards. I am famous for dropping my laptop sadly I have trouble holding things sometimes (not on purpose due to health reasons) so I need all the help I can get.

Not What I Expected.

After reading the reviews for this item, I should have been more prepared for the quality than I actually was. The shipping was quick and the item arrived relatively well-packaged, however, I was not completely satisfied with the item itself.
First of all, it did take me a few minutes to be able to put the case onto my computer. There was a slight curvature of the top cover, leaving a small gap between the case and my computer. I tried to flatten out the case by placing a book on top of it overnight, but it did not help much. I contacted the seller as soon as I saw the curve when I put the cover on and they responded by asking me for the service code on the bottom of my laptop. I did not feel comfortable sending them this information as I had checked the model number of my laptop multiple times before ordering. As I started to use the cover, I realized that the edge of the top would come loose from the computer when I opened my laptop. Not such a big deal if you are leaving your laptop open or do not use it constantly. However, I have become more aware of how I open my computer.
The ill-fitting top cover aside, the bottom was another story. Not only is it a strange shape, leaving the area for the battery completely uncovered, it is not very sturdy. I normally place my laptop on a flat surface, typically a table or my desk, and it does not move from there. But when I have it down, if I tap it even a little, the entire laptop rocks and I am often alarmed that it may tip over backwards. Using the little built in stands does help, but it angles the screen in such a way that I do not use them much. If I had seen the bottom case before purchasing, I do not think I would have purchased the case.Read more ›

I have a 3521. Some people are saying it doesn't fit the other one very well, but it definitely fits mine. It's easy to put on, and it's pretty. Though, it's not opaque so of course the black shows through, but you can still see the pink (actually it looks more red against the black, but it still looks nice in my opinion). I'm satisfied.
