It's In the Bag

I bought the RooCase deluxe directly through PCMicroStore to take advantage of its discount. It fits my Acer Aspire 722-0473 11.6 like a glove, protects it with sufficient padding, and holds the netbook, a full size hardback novel, the adapter, a small pad, Ipod and over the ear headphones. I've had it for more than a month now. The case and computer have held up against freezing weather, light rain and rough handling. The shoulder strap works, although it could use some additional padding and I appreciate the velcro strap inside the bag that holds the netbook in place. The carrying handles are also held together with Velcro. Nicely done.

Using With Acer 11.6" Chromebook

I'm not prone to 5-star ratings so 4-stars from me means it's VERY good.

The rooCASE is particularly well suited for the 11.6" dimensions of the Acer Chromebook. In addition to security for both the Chromebook and charger, it also provides additional room to bring along a few extra items. The additional shoulder strap adds a carrying option when you're toting extra items. Interior slip pockets provides holders for earphones, for flash memory and USB sticks, USB cords, etc, etc.

Pros - Price, workmanship, compact, multi-carrying options, security, ample padding, and Amazon's vendor scrutiny
Cons - Maybe another Velcro strip in the middle of the front accessory pouch (but that's REALLY nit-picking on my part!)

Nicely built...does NOT fit 12.1 inch laptop

Has nice compartments and very similar to a case logic carrying case I had for a 14" laptop. However, this was a little bit more flimsy on the padding especially the bottom part which I felt should be thicker since it does not have any other protection like an outside back compartment.

This does NOT really fit a 12.1 inch laptop - it is too snug. I measured the case lengthwise, seam to seam, and it was only around 12 inches excluding the extra bulge on the outer edge. Also, it has a very strong gas-like smell that does not want to go away and I've tried laying it out under the sun to get rid of it with no success. Am returning this item.

Nice bag, surprising number of pockets inside.

Nice bag. It's just the right size for an 11.6" - 12" laptop, like a netbook form factor. My ThinkPad x131e fits like a glove. Appears to be well made. The handle is comfortable. Lots of extra pockets inside and out, more than I'd expected to find. The adjustable interior section divider that attaches with velcro is helpful as is the strap to secure your laptop. It's exactly what I was looking for.

The only shortcoming is there could be more padding. I moved the interior separator thing to the bottom of the bag and that did the trick. The bag should have a little additional foam and reinforcement at the bottom. I don't feel it would be well cushioned after a hard drop on a hard floor, 15 cents worth of foam sewn in there would've fixed that. My trick of moving the foam interior seperator to the bottom should give sufficient protection, but then you lose the ability to divide the inside of the bag.

Still gave it 4 stars as it's well made and has three times the number of pockets you usually see in a bag of this type in this price range. Most of those do not have sufficient padding at the bottom either, so that's par for course. This bag is tough to beat for the price. Just don't drop it from waist height onto a tile floor with your laptop in it and you'll be OK.

Nice sized case for Chromebook

I bought this case to hold my Samsung Chromebook. The lap top is small and I was having a hard time finding one that fit it nicely at the brick and mortar locations. This case fits it perfectly. The computer is not bulky so I didn't want a case that was. The rooCASE is sized nicely for small computers and you can still fit a book or other documentation inside the case as well as the charger.
