Re: OSI vs Internet Protocol Suite

Hi Anh Danh,
It was me who asked about OSI.
OSI stands for Open Systems Interconnectivity.
OSI has many good propeties over TCP/IP, however it is too complicated
and mainly came after TCP/IP has established its role on the market.
However, at higher layers OSI is well ahead. In the US now the leading
companies start using OSI and its standards to construct upper layers of
communication.

For instance the TCP/IP children: SNMP and SNMP v2 cannot compete with
the OSI child :CMIP in the system management.

Any insight is welcome.
Thanks
