Hi, I talked with the prof (Susan McRoy) at a conference lately. Indeed
she just got a NSF grant, which means that she can possibly finance 
two (or three) grad students. 

She is working at the same place as Peter Haddawy (see some message 
awhile back about his trying to find good grad students). Vietnamese
students at this department have a good reputation, thanks to Anh Thanh,
Anh Liem, Ba.n Que, Em Minh Hien, Em Vu, and Em Phiem. So if you guys are 
applying, and your credentials are as good as some other guys, you have a 
good chance to beat them.
