[FYI] Tentative USA Help Lines Created

Dear friends,

To help Vietnamese students/researchers/workers in USA-related matters,
two e-mails accounts have just been created: vnsa_usa@hotmail.com and
vnsa_usa_intern@hotmail.com.

--------------------------
The first e-mail account is for those who are now studying/working/doing
research in the USA to send in questions related to their everyday life
or to any other topics they consider too sensitive to be posted to VNSA.

Examples of such topics are:

1) I am a woman, and I would like to buy some woman healthcare products,
where are the best places for buying these, what should I pay attention
for when buying them?

2) I was asked by a Caucasian male friend to a dinner, is this considered
a date? Anyone having similar experience, what should I pay attention to
if I go out with him?

3) I want to buy cheap, used clothes, furnitures,...where are the best
places for them?

4) I have a dispute with the landlord, what should I do?

Etc...

Please note that no question of this nature is too sensitive to be posted on
VNSA. After all, we are on this forum also to help each other. But if you are
reluctant to post such questions to the forum, you should consider sending in
your questions to vnsa_usa@hotmail.com. Your questions will be answered by a
number of volunteers who are Vietnamese studying/working/doing research in
the USA, who have been here for quite some time, and have a lot of experience
in such matters. You can save a LOT of time, money, and energy by sending a
simple question to the above e-mail address. Your mails and identity will be
kept ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL, and destroyed after the help.

Remember, the help line address is vnsa_usa@hotmail.com.

-------------------------------------------------
The second e-mail account, vnsa_usa_intern@hotmail.com, is for
interaction between those who want to do a short-term internship in
the US and those who are in position to help. A number of prominent
Vietnamese scientists who are living in the US have been offered to help
Vietnamese researchers and students finding short-term internships
in the US. This account is inactive at the moment, but
more information will be posted soon on this topic.
