WEll, It's near the truth ! On the sleeve of the album was written : " Words & music By
R.Waters EXCEPT .... "(maybe 4 songs). From those songs Waters shared author's credit
there is a significant song called 'Comfortably Numb' which was primarly composed by
D.Gilmour. R.Waters did throw in the lyrics but the tune entirely is of Gilmour. It's
one of the best of him.
>Wright had serious drug problems during the recording of the album, and he barely

After 3 consecutive very successful LPs (The Dark Side.../Wish you.../Animals) where
R.Waters had contributed a lion share to the band success, he became very authoritive,
near a dictator in the band. It seemed that PK had become 'R.Waters and his band'. PF
was under his entire grip.
Then came the day when he convened the band for making the band next studio album.
R.Waters brought into the studio 2 cassette tapes : one was demo version of "The wall "
and the onther was demo for " Pros&Con Hitch Hiking" (later released as his 1st solo
album) and made the band listened to them and asked :"which one do you like to do???".
All 3 band-mates thought that "the wall" is stronger so they decided to record "The
wall".
However, R.Waters did not think Wright's keyboard playing was good enough so he made much
effort to oust Wright. And he did success for that purpose so that he could hire any
keyboard he liked.
Then Wright quickly fell into the arms of drugs as he saw the only way to relief.
Consequently, Wright did leave the band and on the next album (the final Cut) PF was only
3 members.
A nice weekend to you all,
