Late night erotic movies
Hi Minh,

What a coincidence! And what a memorable night, wasn't it? ;-) As far as I
can remember, I watched it on the 16th floor, so where were you? I guess
it was sort of first-time experience with the so-called Western culture
(with eroticism being an enormous and exciting part of it) through the
mass media. Satellite channels in fact revolutionized the viewing habits
of many people in Hungary, bringing in competition in terms of quality and
and choice. Apart from those late-night weekend erotic movies or so-called
men's magazines with sexy girls, we also had a chance to watch MTV Europe
(man, it was a big thing then!), great sports coverage (tennis Grand Slams,
Formula-1, and so on), National Geographic program, CNN, etc. It was such a
great feeling to be connected to the world and get exposed to the new cultures!
Despite the fact that today I see it differently ...
About myself, I'm sure we passed each other many times, and even played
soccer together a few times. I was in the same year with Luyen, your
long-time friend (please say hi to him!). I still remember your face and
your hobby of collecting music, and had seen your girlfriend, too, when you
two came to visit Budapest. But it's OK if you don't remember me. I'm not
a popular guy in Budapest, and had had very limited connections with the
Vietnamese community. I'm told that these days you need to go to markets
to find your friends :-)
If you happen to go on a trip to Spain this summer, please don't forget
to share with us your experience on the road!
Bye for now,
-Thanh
