In a city, there are many suburbs. ROAD links between suburbs.
Within each suburb, there are STREETS. So, that is the main difference
between them.

By strict definition, AVENUE is a suburban street, and BOULEVARD is
a city street. Both should have trees to be qualified as avenue or
boulevard. However, I have seen many avenues and boulevards without trees at
all :).

No Bi`nh. PARADES are normally streets within a town, where you are
allowed to drive cars, but there are lanes where you can walk. However, in
reality, I have seen parades where there are only cars!!! In Australia, for
some unknown reasons, they usually name streets along the railway lines as
parades.

HIGHWAY is road which links between cities or states. However, there
are also MAIN ROADS which link between cities. MOTORWAY and FREEWAY
(sometimes used interchangeably) are roards built specially for fast travel
over long distances.
In Australia, you do not have to pay to drive on highway, but you
MAY pay when you venture into FREEWAY or MOTORWAY.
I hope I have answered your questions. There may be other people in
other countries want to add more info.
Just keep your mind working hard Bi`nh: what are the differences
between PRODUCE, PRODUCT, PRODUCTION, PRODUCTIVE, PRODUCTIVITY? :)))
Best wishes,
Tuan
PS. If you are going back to VN, could you buy for me some Kien Thuc
