Dear anh Tuan,
I am 100% Vietnamese!! I think you may misunderstand about that
Prof.. Japanese usually do not want to contact stranger, and that
prof. did not know that you are his coleague, I suppose. In general, JPese
are not rude to their guests, even the rank of the guest is much lower
than their rank. They call guest "o kyaku sama" (nga`i kha'ch quy') .
They are rude only with people directly under them. This is true not
only for prof., but for Japanese in general.
VN students are very poor, but I found many students could not get used
with the behaviours of their prof., and they fought every day with their
supervisors. And in many cases, the student won.

Thank you for your information about hotels in SF. Anh Trung (tngo@lsil.com)
has provided me the address of a web site about lodging in SF. I do not know
exactly, but wonder why some hotels with the price of 80$/night have only
shower, not bath.

Dear Tuan,
We just joked, and did not take anything seriously. Thus, no information
