After reading yours mail I have asked my friends Japanese professors abouth
the exact meaning of "jap" in Japanese, but they don't know though they guess
it's something impolite. Could you as the first and the last time explain us its
exact meaning?
For myself I had many such experiences. For instance, after having a good enough
knowledge on Russian I never use Vietnamese "khui" to express "to open" (that
Vietnamese word often is used by South people).
