Re: to Admins, Re: MNKP
Hi Anh Ian Bui and other folks,
First please let me clear a potential source of confusion: I
act as an admin when and only when my posting is signed with the phrase
"VNSA Admin"; in all other cases my postings should be treated as
postings from an ordinary VNSA member, and should be interpreted as
reflecting my opinions only.
Given the above, I would like to ask that any message addressing
problems related to my non-admin postings be addressed to ME, and not
to the ADMINS. If you address the admins (for example by putting the
words "to admins" in the subject line) and use the word "VNSA admin"
instead of my name in the message, you are mixing my private business
with administrative business of the vnsa admin board. This may create
a lot of unwanted problems, for example, it could create the
impression that the whole admin board is involved in something which
clearly has nothing to do with other admins.
In the case you would like to ask the vnsa admins to take action
regarding some vnsa problems, you should send PRIVATE e-mails to the
admins, you should NOT post your requests to VNSA. Thank you for your
cooperation and understanding in these matters.
Now lets get back to the issue brought up by Anh Ian Bui.

It was me who contacted Anh Ian Bui. I saw the MNKP article in a
vnforum digest message and then contacted anh Ian Bui for a blanket
posting permission, which I got. I am now surprised to read the above
message from anh Ian Bui. Apparently, in my lighting-speed scanning of
tons of mail messages I must have overlooked the part about asking
additional permission from Mr. NVK because I didn't recall reading such
part.
Boy, oh boy, if this is the case then now I get myself into a mess.
First, I would like to apologize to anh Ian Bui and the author for this
oversight and any problem that may result from this. Second, I would
like to propose doing the followings to clean up this mess:
1) Since now we have known that the author requests to be informed
of any discussion on his paper, I would lke to ask you all to STOP
DISCUSSING THIS PAPER. I will send this message as well as all vnsa
postings related to his paper to his e-mail address.
2) I will talk about this with the author, and offer him a chance
to post whatever he wants to say concerning this topic and his paper
on vnsa.
3) The paper was posted with the intention of initiating discussions
about the literature situation in Southern Vietnam. I think this is an
interesting and useful topic. So even though we don't discuss the paper
(actually there is not much left to discuss about the paper itself), I
am really interested in reading more postings analyzing and discussing
the literature situation in both Northern and Southern Vietnam.
Best regards, Hai.
