VIETNAMESE PEOPLE SYMPATHIZE WITH EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN TAIWAN

Ha Noi, Sept.  25 (VNA) -- The Vietnamese people sympathize with the
Taiwanese people over the losses they have suffered in a recent
earthquake, said a Foreign Ministry spokesperson. 

The spokesperson was responding to a request for Viet Nam's reaction to
the quake in Taiwan. 

"We would like to send our condolences
and regards to the victims' families, and hope that the Taiwanese people
will soon overcome the aftermath of the quake and bring life back to
normal, the spokesperson said."--VNA
