(TOM) We wandered around the streets of Munich for a couple of hours. They have some really pretty old buildings, like the town hall picture above. Notice the flowers; the Germans really seemed to like to put lots of flowers on their buildings, especially in the windows. I think this was one of the most beautiful buildings I saw while in Europe. Its got so many little edges, lot of triangles, and pointy tips everywhere. Some people might say there are buildings like this everywhere in Germany, but I'd say most are pretty average. I think it was more like the Sears Tower of Munich. There was some kind of anti-nuclear power protest going on in this square. I know we have to tolerate that kind of leftist crap in America, but I thought the German's would crack the whip a little harder. There is this really famous bar in Munich that everyone goes to, the Hoffbrau House. We didn't go there. |
