Q:

Which items are open for trading?
|
A:
|
Almost anything under the recordings section and the live CD section (not the originals, of course) is open for trading.
There are certain items that are no trade at the request of whoever I got them from, which I will not trade.
Absolutely nothing in the way of official releases is open to trading!

Will you sell me anything?
|
A:
|
No, I do not sell under any circumstances.
I am in this for the music, not for profit.
However, I am open to trades for CD's, DVD's, etc. so if you have an interest in pursuing that type of trade, feel free to contact me.
But again, no selling under any circumstances.

Do you trade online?
|
A:
|
I do not trade for MP3's, so I would only consider trading online for original wav files or if some lossless compression format is used (e.g. SHN or FLAC).
The MP3 format is a lossy compression (i.e. some of the sound is removed and cannot be recovered even when converted back to wav format), and I believe there is no reason to sacrifice quality by trading recordings in MP3 format.
Please, let's keep the best quality possible by burning a disc and spending a couple bucks to put it in the mail instead of spreading MP3-sourced material throughout the trading community.

Will you send me samples of some stuff?
|
A:
|
No, I don't have the time or bandwidth.
I believe there is lots of material available at www.herzeleid.com.

Q:
|
Can you trade videos that are in a foreign format (PAL or SECAM)?
|
A:
|
I have an NSTC television, an NTSC VCR, a multi-system VCR, and a video converter.
This means that I can copy and trade any video on my list, but in NSTC format only.
I cannot copy any videos into PAL or SECAM format, even if the original video is in that format.
I have been fairly satisfied with the quality of the converter I have, but take note that converting between formats causes an inevitable loss in picture quality.

Q:
|
Where can I find a particular item for my collection?
|
A:
|
For items under the collection section, the best source is ebay.
Just check back regularly and whatever you are looking for will surface eventually.
It can be much more difficult to find the recordings.
I spent lots of time using various search engines and watching the newsgroups.
Keep track of the people who have some stuff, and check their pages occasionally.
See the links section for some other people that have Rammstein recordings.
