Exercises

Answer each question.

  1. Where are the Team Lab problem sets found?

From the course website, select the "Schedule" link and look in the Team Lab column for each week.

Solutions will also be posted here each week.

  2. Can I leave Team Lab early if I finish all of the problems on the problem set?

No, students who leave early will not receive full credit for the Team Lab. It is not a race to finish, be sure that you understand all parts of each problem and raise your hand to get confirmation from the TAs before continuing with the problem set.

This typically not a problem as most students wish there were more time during Team Lab to work on the problem set and ask questions.

  3. Are there any solutions posted to the Team Labs?

Yes, after the last Team Lab and before the first Individual Lab quiz, we will post the solution to the current week's team lab. Students are advised to review the solution and ask questions before starting the quiz for each week.

The solution files are location in the last column of the course Schedule.

  4. Where can I see my score for each week's Team Lab?

Teaching Assistants will enter the Team Lab score for each student for each Team Lab for each week in the Grades tool on Learn@UW. This information is not available from the alternate course site, and is entered each week.

Students are advised to check their grades each week and resolve any descrepancies they suspect as soon as possible.

  5. What should I do if I attended Team Lab last week but did not recieve credit for that Team Lab?

Be sure that you sign the "unofficial" signin sheet each week during Team Lab.

Then, send email to your TAs and ask if they have entered the attendance for last week. It not uncommon that occasionally the attendance didn't get entered immediately. Check with the TA first and have the course coordinator resolve and differences.
