Who is Scott Allen? I believe he is a spy. At least, he would
make the perfect spy. Scott Allen looks like everybody. He is
Joe Schmoe Anglo-Saxon, pressed in the mold of tall pasty white
guys. So the Hodags can’t really be held at fault when, two years
ago, he was unceremoniously cut from the team. He looked like
countless whack players. The only thing that separates Scott from
the rest is his quiet dominance. He is not a star on the team,
but without him the entire offense collapses. He’s the axle
holding 22” rims in place. All anyone sees is the flashy tires,
but without him they don’t spin. A most worthy Callahan nominee,
and true sportsman, I have never met. Scott will be sorely
missed next year, as well as his unstoppable zone offense and
point-saving incuts.
