Afterall, since this is still a prototype, there are lots of things need to be addressed:

Hardware

• Increase number of fret buttons
• Increase number of strings
• Interface design to MIDI port
• Wireless communication if possible
• Figure out a way how to differentiate soft / hard plucking (right now it's all the same amplitude)
• How about muting the sound ? (after you pluck a string then you hold it right away)
• How to do lots other neat guitar techniques, sliding, etc ?

• Use MIDI port to do it or if stay with parallel port, use interrupt mode
• Use a better timer
• Increase user friendliness (it's dang confusing now)
• Use a wavetable capability of the sound card
• Save the file into Standard MIDI format instead of proprietary format.
