Your final examination is a 200 point test with 100 points for the take-home part and 100 points for the in-class part.

For the in-class portion of your final exam, you will be provided with this fact sheet.

This course will be team taught by Professors Kathy Taylor and Bret Larget in the Spring 2000 semester. We are using the textbook Linear Algebra and Differential Equations using MATLAB. This page will eventually contain information pertaining to homework assignments, a tentative schedule, and computer help. More information will be added through out the semester.

Assignments

To receive full credit, solutions to homework exercises should state the problem and contain a full written description and justification of the process by which you arrive at the final answer. A numerical answer without support is not acceptable, even if it is correct.

Because of difficulty for some students in obtaining the textbook, we are delaying the date of the first homework assignment by a week. The second assignment will be due on the same date.

Required exercises should be solved and turned in for grading. Suggested exercises need not be turned in.
