[FROM ADMIN][FYI] "Ba'o VN" service is now in the experimental stage
Dear friends,
We have a good news for you: the "Ba'o VN" service is now in the
experimental stage.
As many of you know, we talked earlier about negotiating a "ba'o VN"
service for VNSA (those who joined us after this talk please see
http://www.phys.washington.edu/~son/February16-28/0072.html
from the VNSA archive for more detail). This service means that we will
receive up-to-date and most interesting articles from major Vietnamese
newspapers. There will be
- prize-winning short novels, poems, literature news, surveys, criticisms
from "Va(n Nghe^.", "Va(n Nghe^. Tuo^?i Tre?", and other leading literature
magazines;
- breaking news stories, writings analyzing background information from
all aspects of Vietnamese society, writings for young people from "Tuo^?i
Tre?", "Lao DDo^.ng", "Thanh Nie^n", and other major newspapers;
- comprehensive and up-to-date news about Vietnamese cinema, theatre,
fashion, women (we do care about our female netters :-) ), sports, etc.
- news specific to Hanoi and HCMC from "Ha` No^.i Mo+'i", "Ngu+o+`i Ha`
No^.i", and other HCMC-related newspapers
- and more.
More information about this service will be posted in the due time.
For now, please bear with us while we (the admins) are experimenting with
streamlining the administrative procedures for getting and distributing
these articles, as well as improving their quality. Any feedback from you
on this service is GREATLY appreciated. We would like to have PRIVATE
feedback on the following things:
1) Is the number of articles we post daily too much/too little for you to
digest? Should we post fewer/more articles?
2) How about the quality? Send us both general comments on the overall
quality as well as specific comments on a particular article.
3) Any other thing you want to comment on?
Please send your comments and questions PRIVATELY to any of the admins
ncthanh@csd.uwm.edu
son@phys.washington.edu
anhai@cs.washington.edu.
Thank you for your help and time.
