Re: China and VN & VN contra China

Hi friends,
I'm under impressive reading military analysis of Huy Duong.  Many aspects
and problems were considered. I have only one attention to adding to his
and other counterparts analysis.  All of us need a peace but not for every
price.  About war, we can decompose it to three (for instance) kinds:    
total war, bounded war and  pocket war.
What is important in a total war and bounded war, we know.  
Let me talk few words about pocket war.
Probably if China need a war they'll expect a "pocket war".  It's less
expensive for them.  Air force play very important rule in our time, but
can VN uses Airforce agaist China when they offense Island "Truong Sa"?
I have to remind you that VN didn't use air force both in the war 1979
with China and (of South VN defence) in a historical pocket war in "Hoang
Sa" 1974.  It was a good lession for Chinese force and they have a right
to expect the same thing in a "pocket war" in "Truong sa" in 199(?).
Morely, I'm sure that if Chinese Ships bound VN-se island, then VN-se
goverment will do nothing. (I mean a military action.)  
I'm really feeling bad thinking about that. 
Could someone make me feel better?
