Hi all,

VEEP roughly stands for Vietnam Educational Exchange Program. It is a
program created and operated by the US Committee for Scientific
Cooperation with Vietnam, which is chaired by Dr. Judith Ladinsky.

VEEP helps Vietnamese students (those with Vietnamese passports) attend
US universities. Briefly, you apply to VEEP, it will attempt to find
a scholarship or fellowship at a suitable US university for you. If
successful, it will assist you in getting all the necessary paperworks
(visa, etc) done so that you can go to the US to attend the university.
VEEP also pays for various expenses generated by the application process.
This is a big help since the cost of applying to a single US university
is around $100.

Several days ago, I contacted Dr. Ladinsky, and - among other things -
talked with her about posting information about the US Committee and
the VEEP program on VNSA so that more people know about this program.
She is sending me a package containing the description of the US
Committee, its activities, and the VEEP program. As soon as I get this
package, and if until then such information has not been posted, I will
post it.

For now, since Dr. Ladinsky is also present on this forum, she is
certainly the one in the best position to give a detailed and accurate
description of the VEEP program.

Best regards, Hai.
