    Glad to hear from you after a long silence. I enjoy the joke, except
the part of COBOL.
   COBOL now is not a secretary, it is a broker on Wall Street.
Companies are competing for experienced COBOL programmers and pay 
extreemely well. 
   The shortage is so dramatic that the companies are flying to Florida 
to look for retired old COBOL programmers.

   One friend of mine holding a B.S degree got offer every week. He is 
working for Merill Lynch for 120K/y + a lot of bonus. ( He is neither a 
trader nor a qualitative researcher, just a full-time programmer)
  Can you believe that?
