Re: Ba'ch Vie^.t - Ly' La~o

Hi anh Lam,

   Recently, in the Preface to Dda.i Vie^.T Su+? Ky' Toa`n Thu+
representing his research group, Mr Phan Huy Le spent a lot of pages
to criticize our ancient historians from Le Van Huu to Le Hy and
those of the Nguyen'monarchy concerning Trie^.u Dda`. That means
the question whether Trie^.u Dda` was a Vietnamese King does matter to
historians.
   This viewpoint backs up the one by Ngo^ Thi` Si~ in Vie^.t Su+? Tie^u A'n.
For me the arguments adopted by the Phan Huy Le's group Ngo^ Thi` Si~ and
Ta^y So+n's group are not convincing enough. Needless to say that these
three groups are related by blood and are not a majority in Viet's history.
The arguments were:
   - Trie^.u Dda` was born in Cha^n DDi.nh Ha` Ba('c so he was definitely
a Chinese ( I don't accept this racist argument).
   - Trie^.u Dda` attacked A^u La.c of Thu.c Pha'n, that says TDD was an
agressor ( How about Thu.c Pha'n who attacked Hu`ng Vu+o+ng. The recent story
about Thu.c Pha'n'vow to defend Hu`ngVu+o+ng teritory as a legal sucessor
should be a made-up story. It sound too modern).
   - That Trie^.u Dda` married a Viet woman, changed his habits of life
was just a trick of cheating "Thu? ddoa.n mi. da^n" ( No basis at all.)

I think even Hu`ng Vu+o+ng and the upper classes came from the today's
China teritory as colonialists. By a bloody war they could set up their
power. You know that the acception of a new culture has been never a
pleasure. I am not talking about Ha'n. The concept of Ha'n was not there
from beginning. The Ha'n of Lu+u Bang actually was a mixture of a lot of
races that have conquered China and been absorbed into that culture.
Vietnam might have the same ingredients but be a product of an inverse
process.

I heard of the Turkish origine of Ly' Uye^n. Ua^'t Tri` Cung may also be
a Moore. I can read from DVSKTT the flows of Ly''s coming from China
during DDu+o+`ng as related to the Emperor. Maybe they were also Turkish
origined.

The question for today: why we don't see many people with the family
Ho^`ng or Hu`ng left( except you Hong Lam Vu) ? Where did the Ho^`ng Ba`ng
Thi. go?

Cheers
Aiviet

PS: The shameful story about Ma.c Ddi~nh Chi will be posted later.
