(TOM) Now we are inside the monument. There wasn't much in the way of written pamphlets about it in English, but they had a little room where you could listen to the history in other languages. I specifically requested that we learn nothing on this trip, but we decided to hear about this place. The room we were in was small, and had a high ceiling. All the walls were made of wood. It was a scary room. The recording was extremely boring. The chairs inside the room were facing each other, so we just stared at each other while the voice loomed about. It wasn't long before we could take no more, and we left before it was complete. I think the expression on Eliot's face sums it up nicely.
