Keyboard Level Modeling with Cogtool

The Cogtool process

During our evaluation phase, the Cogtool application proved to be somewhat useful. It allowed us to get an idea of the interface efficiency and notice opportunities for improvement.
In Cogtool, we mapped a basic series of button presses which would move between screens. Below is a screenshot of what our task sequence looked like. As you can see, the 1.2 second think time, when added up among many button presses, became considerable. Thus, our designs focused on eliminating unnecessary taps.
