Biography

I have been a PhD student in the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 2009. I am currently doing database research under the supervision of Prof. Jeff Naughton. I obtained my M.Phil. and B.S. degrees in computer science from Chinese University of Hong Kong and South China University of Technology, respectively.

Research

I am interested in databases and big data research, with a focus on query optimization and parallel database systems. Previously, I have worked on data privacy problems.

I have been working on projects as a research assistant in Microsoft Gray Systems Lab since Dec 2009. And I also spent a great summer in 2011 as a research intern in the DMX group of Microsoft Research.
