training crit - in the rain

Comments:
I didn't plan on doing the crit, but for some reason I did.  It started to 
rain.  I felt fine riding.  With ~5 laps to go I attacked but didn't get 
away.  I pulled for a bit, then let everyone ride away from me.


Date: 8/9/98 Feeling: 3.5 Performing: 6 Weight: 165lbs Workout: Bombay ride 8:00AM-?? 99 miles (I'll call it a century) Started from Paoli and rode south somewhere, stopped at some guy's farm to get water and eat watermellons. Lots of rolling hills and some larger ones. I was climbing powerfully in the saddle most of the time. Comments: The Bombay ride was only ~75 miles, but the ride to and from Paoli added ~25 miles. I'm sick right now, and was worried about doing this ride, but I was fine. It's not in my respiratory system - yet. I think I overdid it with the low cadence seated climbing. My right knee just stopped working near the end of the ride. i stretched on my bike and was ok, but a worrisome occurence.
