This page contains information about the software and resources that we use at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to create our results.

In our research we use several different software tools to obtain our results. To evaluate Langer's method we used the optimization packages AMPL and CPLEX. AMPL stands for A Modeling Language for Mathematical Programming and was developed at Bell Laboratories. CPLEX comes from the combination of the letter "C" (since the program is written in C) and an abreviation of the word "simplex" for the simplex method for linear programming.

We also code using ANSI C and Java. To examine and evaluate our results we use EXCEL.
