The instructional computing labs are open from 7 AM - 1 AM every day. Note that the Windows NT labs in rooms 1366 and B240 are restricted to CS 132 only during scheduled lab periods.

New Unix users and novice unix users new to the CSL Unix facilities are encouraged to attend an orienation session as early in the semester as possible. Please also purchase a copy of CS 1000 (An Introductory Manual to the Unix Operating System and the Computer Sciences Department's Instructional Computing Environment) at the DoIT Tech Store (first floor of the Computer Sciences and Statistics Building).
Students only need to attend one orientation session. Each session consists of a short video presentation, followed by a hands-on session in the user rooms.
