Type ftp://(login ID)@alpha(first letter of your email address).csd.uwm.edu
  in location bar.
   ex) If your email address is  jkim@csd.uwm.edu , 
          type ftp://jkim@plphaj.csd.uwm.edu

Type logging password and then click OK

You will see the list of files in said of the account.

File Uploading

Open File and click Upload File...

Select the file you want to upload and click OK.
Netscape can only upload one file at a time, for multiple file uploading, 
           use FTP program or Internet Explorer.

File Download

First, log on to the account then when the list of files show up select the you 
   want to download  and then click Right-Button of the Mouse and then click 
   Save Link As...

Choose the folder where you want to save file and then  click Save.

Type ftp://(login ID)@alpha(first letter of your email address).csd.uwm.edu
    in address bar.
    ex) If your email address is  jkim@csd.uwm.edu , 
          type ftp://jkim@plphaj.csd.uwm.edu

Type your log-in name and password.
    If you are logging in with you home computer , it'll be helpful to click 
    Save Password option but if you are using public computer to log -in don't 
    click on this option for safety.

    

After you log in , you will see the list of files in your account, then you could 
    change your view of file list by clicking view button in toolbar.

This Internet Explorer FTP program works very similar as Windows Explorer
    You could copy and paste to any folder you want (other web folder ,local Hard drive
    or disk drive) 

You can even create or delete a folder or a file.
    (Mouse Right-Button -> New -> Folder)  

You can  download or upload multiple files at same time. 
    (works same as in Windows Explorer)
